VOV.VN - Vietnamese wrestler Pham Huynh Minh Hieu, a young wrestler from Long An province, has made history by claiming a Gold Medal in the beach wrestling 90kg weight category at the 2025 U17 & U23 Asian Wrestling Championships.

Vietnamese wrestlers dominated the 2023 Southeast Asian Wrestling Championships which concluded in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on December 10, clinching the top position with 26 gold medals.

VOV.VN - Despite a great challenge from opponents, Vietnam raises high hopes of winning more than 10 golds in wrestling, which is considered a gold mine of the country’s sport at regional competitions, including the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 2023) due to take place in Cambodia this May.
