VOV.VN - Vietnam has pledged to support Laos in upgrading sports infrastructure, training athletes, and sharing international event management experience as the neighbouring country prepares to host the 2031 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games).

The Vietnam People Army will provide full support to help Laos successfully stage the parade and ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of its National Day (December 2, 1975–2025), said Deputy Minister of National Defence Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang.

Vietnamese Consul General in Luang Prabang province Nguyen Dang Hung on October 29 presented LAK25 million (US$2,300) to Secretary of the Party Committee of Luang Prabang city Viengthong Hatsachan in support of the host authorities’ fight against COVID-19.
