Artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing and emerging quantum technologies are reshaping the global digital economy while creating unprecedented cybersecurity risks, experts warned at the Vietnam Security Summit 2026 held in Hanoi on May 22.

Vietnam is projected to face a shortfall of more than 700,000 cybersecurity professionals in the coming years, highlighting an urgent need for comprehensive training policies in the field.

The Vietnam Security Summit 2024 was held in Hanoi on May 30 by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC)’ Authority of Information Security (AIS) and the IEC Group.

The Vietnam Security Summit 2021 will be held via videoconference on October 27-28, with the participation of about 800 delegates across various fields.

Ensuring cybersecurity is considered a key factor for a successful and sustainable digital transformation, and at the same time, an inseparable part of digital transformation, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission Nguyen Duc Hien said at a cybersecurity summit.
