General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam’s state visit to India from May 5-7 will create new momentum and shape a framework to elevate Vietnam–India ties to a new level in the next phase, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong.
The upcoming state visit to India by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President To Lam is expected to inject fresh impetus into Vietnam–India relations, ushering in a more substantive, comprehensive and forward-looking phase of cooperation.
The relationship between Vietnam and India has grown significantly over the past 50 years, with India becoming one of the leading partners of Vietnam, Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau told Vietnam News Agency on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties.
