After six years of being part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the field of design, Hanoi has been actively pushing forward with its commitments through concrete actions, making creativity a crucial driver of its development.

The Hanoi Women for Peace and Development Festival 2024 opened in Hanoi on March 2.

The ancient city of Hoi An in the central province of Quang Nam, and Da Lat city in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong have been named in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in terms of music, and crafts and folk art, respectively.

A symposium was held in Hue city in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on September 22, seeking measures to help the ancient capital achieve a listing in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) thanks to its culinary artistry.

Hanoi plans to take various actions from now until 2025 to implement the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) initiatives to raise public awareness of the capital’s commitments to the network.
