VOV.VN - Vietnam has greeted a total of 8.9 million foreign arrivals over the past nine months, surpassing the previous annual target of eight million.

A key for Vietnam to attract more foreign tourists at this time is to change its visa policy, said Chris Farewell, a member of the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB).

VOV.VN -The Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) has put forward a proposal to the Vietnamese Government to resume the unilateral visa exemption for tourists from the UK, Germany, Italy, France and Spain as part of the reopening of the international tourism, a move which is scheduled to start from March 15.

A teleconference was held on January 18 to review a project on assisting the Tourism Advisory Board (TAB) in building a fund for tourism development and improvement of destinations’ competitiveness.
