Vietnamese Ambassador to France Trinh Duc Hai held a working session on March 23 in Paris with Diego Diaz, President of SNCF International under the French National Railway Company (SNCF), to discuss cooperation opportunities in the railway sector, particularly the development of high-speed rail in Vietnam.

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Ministry of Commerce of China have recently signed a document to implement a technical assistance project for preparing a feasibility study report of the Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong standard-gauge railway line.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Danh Huy had a working session in Hanoi on May 27 with Director General of the French Development Agency (AFD) Rémy Rioux and representatives of the European Union Delegation in Vietnam to discuss cooperation in transport and construction, within the framework of French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Vietnam.

Vietnam and China have signed seven important cooperation documents in the railway and road sectors, including two intergovernmental treaties, two official development assistance (ODA) agreements between the two governments, and three ministerial-level accords.
