Crude oil supplies for domestic refineries have been maintained, and petrol supplies for the coming months remain secure, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said while chairing a meeting in Hanoi on March 17 with the task force for energy security.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has recently signed an official dispatch, ordering competent ministries, sectors and corporations to fully and drastically roll out measures to ensure sufficient petrol supply for production, business and consumption during the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday which lasts from February 8 to 14 and beyond.

The Finance Ministry always offers all possible support to firms, especially distributors and retailers, to ensure stable petrol supplies, thus stimulating production-business and daily activities, said Minister Ho Duc Phoc.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) has instructed relevant agencies to ensure the supply of petrol, MoIT Deputy Minister Do Thang Hai said at the Government’s regular press conference for February on March 3.
