More than 50 outstanding books and book series across five different categories were honoured at the 8th National Book Awards ceremony held in Hanoi on March 8.

A revised translation of "Hoang Viet nhat thong du dia chi", considered the first collection of geographical descriptions under the Nguyen Dynasty, has won the A prize of the 5th National Book Awards.
