Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong on January 21 delivered a presentation at the 14th National Party Congress, focusing on promoting external relations and international integration in service of the country’s strategic objectives.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has requested building a workforce for external information service with resilience, intelligence, creativity, responsibility, dedication and vision that committed to promoting the positive and addressing the negative.

For the first time, the draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress propose recognising “external relations and international integration” as a core, regular task, on par with national defence and security, reflecting a new strategic mindset in safeguarding and advancing national interests.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on November 11 for Solomon Islands Minister of Foreign Affairs and External Trade Peter Shanel Agovaka who is on a three-day official visit to Vietnam.
