Vietnam will launch the 2026 Economic Census in January next year to develop a comprehensive overview of production and business activities across all economic sectors nationwide.
The number of enterprises and employees working in the non-State and FDI sectors increased rapidly, whereas that of the State sector fell markedly.
As of December 31, 2020, Vietnam counted 683,600 operational enterprises, up 35.3% from 2016, the 2021 economic census revealed.
