VOV.VN - A Vietnamese diplomat to the United Nations has voiced Vietnam’s support for the reform of the UN Security Council (UNSC) including the body’s expansion in terms of both permanent and non-permanent members.

Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Tra, Charge d'affaires a.i. of Vietnam to the UN, highlighted Vietnam’s commitments to promoting women’s advancement while addressing an open debate of the UN Security Council on October 20.

Vietnam has reaffirmed its support and contributions to the UN's efforts to improve road traffic safety at a UN General Assembly session being held on June 30 and July 1.

A Vietnamese representative affirmed the country's commitment to effectively manage small arms and light weapons, while attending an ongoing meeting held at the UN headquarters in New York.
