Women’s volleyball team to train in Thailand ahead of Asian Cup
VOV.VN - The Vietnam women’s volleyball team are expected to train in Thailand before competing in the 2022 Asian Women’s Volleyball Cup in the Philippines this August.
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation recently announced a list of 14 players gathering for the training. Notably, hitter Tran Thi Thanh Thuy is not able to train with her team mates as she is playing for Japan’s Clue Cats.
The players will fly to Thailand for a 20-day training camp before flying to the Philippines for the 2022 Asian Women’s Volleyball Cup scheduled to take place from August 21-28.
Vietnam will play in Group A with the Philippines, China, Iran and the Republic of Korea.
After the Asian Cup, the Vietnamese players are likely to return to Thailand for the 2022 ASEAN Grand Prix before heading home.
The 2022 Asian Women's Volleyball Cup, a biennial international volleyball tournament, will be organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and the Philippine National Volleyball Federation.
