Women’s football plays AFF tune-up in Czech Republic

VOV.VN - In its final AFF Women’s Football Championship 2016 tune-up, the Vietnam women’s national football team is planning to play a friendly matchup on July 17 in Prague, Czech Republic.

The team meets Viktoria Plzen on July 17, announced Coach Mai Duc Chung. It’s our last final tune-up match before we head off to the AFF tourney scheduled for late July in Myanmar.

Coach Chung said the squad has been training in the Czech Republic since July 4, playing against teams from Germany and the Czech Republic, aiming to sharpen their skills prior to their departure for Myanmar.

The weather has been great and training is right on track, said the Coach.

On July 15, the team got an unexpected visit from Vietnam Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son who had some inspiring and motivational words for the team in their quest for a tournament win.
