The two Vietnamese billiards players, competing in Group C, will have to ensure a win over their Danish opponents tonight to qualify for the next round.
Meanwhile, in the same group with Vietnam, Greece beat Denmark 40-32 after 32 moves.
In Group D, Turkey beat Peru 40-31 while Germany won Colombia with a score of 40-39.
In Group B, the Republic of Korea had a major victory over Lebanon 40-21 while Egypt lost to Austria 26-40.
The championship is a professional carom billiards tournament that takes place in three-cushion billiards. Each nation is represented by a team of two players.
