V.League 1 ranks fourth in value among ASEAN domestic leagues in 2024
VOV.VN - The V.League 1, the nation’s top professional football league, came fourth among the value rankings of domestic leagues in ASEAN, according to the website aseanfootball.org.
V.League 1 was estimated to be valued at EUR42.93 million, up EUR4.88 million on-year, placing fourth among the 14 domestic leagues.
With a value of EUR75.48 million, Thailand’s League 1 took the lead in the ASEAN rankings.
Indonesia’s Liga 1 ranked second as it endured an annual decrease of EUR6.98 million to EUR67.34 million.
This was followed by the Malaysian Super League after its value fell by EUR1.9 million from last year to reach US$53.34 million.
Others to make the Top 9 were the Singapore Premier League at EUR20.56 million, the Cambodian League at EUR14.24 million, the Philippines League at EUR13.08 million, the Myanmar National League at EUR4.68 million, and the Laos Premier League at EUR2.48 million.
The V.League 1 is the top professional football league in the nation and is managed by the Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF). It is contested by 14 clubs who play each other on a home and away basis. The team finishing top at the end of the season are crowned champions and enter the AFC Champions League Two.
