V.League 1 champions to compete against strong teams at AFC Champions League Two

VOV.VN - Vietnam have been given two slots to compete in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League Two in the 2024 to 2025 season.

The winner of the 2023/2024 V.League 1 season and the champions of the National Cup during the 2023/2024 season will qualify for the AFC Champions League Two.

The AFC will give a bonus of US$300,000 for each club to qualify for the tournament.

The winner of the AFC Champions League Two will then be awarded US$3.82 million. The AFC will hold a draw on August 16.

The 2024/2025 AFC Champions League Two will be held from September to May, 2025, and will be the 21st edition of the Asia's second-tier club football tournament.

Previously known as the AFC Cup, which has been in existence for the previous 20 seasons, this is the first season using a revised format and the new name of AFC Champions League Two. It will feature a total of 32 teams in the group stage.
