Vinh snatches gold at World Weightlifting Champs
VOV.VN - Vietnamese weightlifter Trinh Van Vinh will take home the gold medal in the men’s 62kg weight category at the ongoing World Weightlifting Championships in the US, raising the total gold medal haul for the Vietnamese team to four.

In the snatch event, Vinh successfully lifted three registered weight classes of 130 kg, 134 kg, and 136 kg, beating his rival by one kilogram.
Unfortunately, the weightlifter failed to pull off lifts of 165 kg and 166 kg in the clean and jerk.
With this result, Vinh has disappointingly missed out on qualification for a place at the upcoming ASIAD 2018.
