Viksit Bharat Run 2025 held for the first time in Hanoi

VOV.VN - The Embassy of India in Vietnam, in collaboration with My Bharat, an online Youth Leadership and Social Engagement Platform, held the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 at Thong Nhat Park in Hanoi on September 28.

This was the first time the event has been held in Hanoi, attracting the participation of 200 runners, including Indian people, students, professionals, and international friends living and working in Hanoi, as well as local residents.

This initiative is part of Seva Pakhwada, which is being held across 150 cities across the world from September 17-October 2. Viksit Bharat Run 2025, themed "Run to Serve the Nation”, aims to promote community bonding, physical fitness, and sustainable development.

According to the organising board, participants take part in 3-5 km run at iconic and accessible locations worldwide. In Hanoi, participants ran a 3km course in a lively and united atmosphere. They also performed rituals to connect spiritually with the global Indian community.

Earlier, on September 24, the Embassy of India in collaboration with relevant organisations also took part in the Ek Ped Maa ke Naam campaign (Planting Trees for Mother Earth) on the campus of Thuy Loi University (Water Resources University) in support of the initiative for a green environment and sustainable development.

Vietnamese runners shine at Mountain Marathon

Vietnamese runners dominated the Vietnam Mountain Marathon (VMM) 2025 in Sa Pa ward, Lao Cai province, which took place from September 19-21 with the participation of trail runners from 47 countries and territories.
