VOV.VN - The squad of Viettel FC have been fully equipped with the latest technology from the Republic of Korea to help their training for the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League 2021 and the second phase of the V.League 1.
OhCoach electronic performance and tracking system (EPTS) represents a new form of football technology. It was first widely used at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
By utilising EPTS technology, coaches are able to digitally gather information and gain an insight into the fatigue levels of players in terms of distance covered, pressure exerted on their body, and heart rate monitoring.
For the AFC Champions League 2021, Viettel FC have been placed in Group F, with all of their matches set to be played in Thailand
They will face off against BG Pathum United FC of Thailand, Ulsan Hyundai FC of the Republic of Korea, along with a team that wins a play-off match for the right to compete in the group stage.
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all fixtures in East Asia have been moved to the end of June and early July, as opposed to being played between April 21 and May 7.
