VOV.VN - Swimmer Anh Vien, track-and-field athlete Le Tu Chinh, and football coach Mai Duc Chung are among the most exceptional Vietnamese sportspeople of 2017.

| Nguyen Thi Anh Vien (swimming) won 8 gold medals in the 29th Southeast Asian Games, her fantastic results helped the Vietnamese delegation achieve its aims of finishing in the Top 3 at the games. The swimmer also secured her fourth Best Athlete of the Year award. |

| Thach Kim Tuan (weightlifting) bagged 3 gold medals in the men’s 56kg weight category at the World Weightlifting Championships in 2017. He also won a gold medal in the 29th Southeast Asian Games and took another gold at the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG 5). |

| Coach Mai Duc Chung (football) had success in leading the national women’s team to the gold medal at the Malaysian SEA Games. He also played a key role in guiding the national men’s squad to secure a slot in the 2019 Asian Cup finals. In the pool for Best Coach of the Year, Chung topped the list of five nominees with 593 points. |
