Vietnam’s No.1 female badminton player regains top 30 global ranking
The Badminton World Federation (BWF)'s latest rankings have seen the return of Vietnam’s number-one badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh to the world’s top 30.
Linh has climbed four places to rank 28th in the BWF rankings with an accumulated point of 44,560.
She got the notable result after participating in international tournaments in Malaysia, Indonesia, and India.
In the Super 500 Indonesia Masters held last month, Linh defeated former world champions - Pusarla Venkata Sindhu and Letshanaa Karupathevan, entering the quarterfinals of the women's singles.
She then stopped after losing to Sung Shuo-yun of Taiwan (China). The result helped the Vietnamese badminton player accumulate more important points to climb up in the BWF rankings.
