Vietnamese women’s football team receive big bonus

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese women’s national football team have been awarded a major bonus totaling VND5.6 billion following their latest victory at SEA Games 32.

Of the figure, a total of VND3.6 billion of the money came directly from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), while VND2 billion was received from domestic benefactors.

The sum was given as a way of acknowledging their outstanding contributions made to the women’s game nationally, with thanks given to the players for their brilliant performances put in at SEA Games 32.

The Vietnamese women’s national football team gathered together on May 22 at Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre in order to continue training to prepare for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in New Zealand and Australia in July.

The team’s training camp will be divided into four phases. They will practice with each other in the first phase in Hanoi before moving to Germany in the second phase to take part in three friendly matches against Eintracht Frankfurt FC on June 5, Short Mainz FC on June 15, and the German women’s team on June 24.

In the third phase, the local women’s team will travel to Poland to play a friendly against its U23 team on June 21. In the last phase, the team will then return home to attend the final training before flying to New Zealand on July 5.
