Vietnamese weightlifter to watch at Youth Worlds in Thailand

VOV.VN - This year’s Youth Worlds are being held from April 3-10 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 2017 IWF Youth Worlds is an event with the potential to qualify athletes for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games, which will be held in Argentina from October 6-18, 2018.
  

One of the athletes to keep an eye on is young Le Nguyen Quoc Bao from Vietnam.

At this year’s competition, Bao lifted 96kg in the snatch to claim first place in the 50kg division and 124kg in the clean and jerk for a bronze medal.

These lifts are important as they put him among the best young athletes at the competition, which has attracted 445 top young athletes from 57 countries around the globe.
