Vietnamese striker Van Toan to join Seoul E-Land FC: Korean media

VOV.VN - Korean media outlet News Nate has published an article stating that Vietnamese striker Nguyen Van Toan is set to join Seoul E-Land FC.

According to News Nate, Van Toan and Seoul E-Land, a Korean professional football club in Seoul which plays in the K League 2, have reached a preliminary agreement and they are expected to formalise the contract in the near future.

Van Toan’s contract with V.League 1 side Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) is scheduled to expire at the end of the 2022 season.

News Nate revealed the contract between the Korean club and Van Toan comes thanks to a recommendation made by head coach Park Choong-kyun, who was formerly in charge of Hanoi FC.

Van Toan started learning Korean and is practicing his speaking skills with Park Hang-seo's Korean assistants.

Previously his HAGL teammates Cong Phuong and Xuan Truong had the chance to play for Incheon United FC and Gangwon FC in the K League 1, although the pair were ultimately unsuccessful.

Born in 1996 in the northern province of Hai Duong, Van Toan is a key member of the Vietnam national team, having been a leading striker in the domestic game since the 2015 season.

Seoul E-Land FC were founded in 2014, with their home ground Mokdong having a capacity of 15,511 spectators.
