Vietnamese side cruise to AVC Champions League’s semi-finals
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s Binh Dien Long An Club have advanced to the semi-final round of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Champions League 2025 in the Philippines after their hard-fought 3-1 victory over Kaohsiung Taipower (Taiwan, China) on April 25.

In Set 1, Binh Dien Long An started strong, with captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy leading the way. The Vietnamese side maintained a slight lead throughout and won 25-20.
A series of unforced errors in Set 2 gave Kaohsiung the edge, allowing them to pull ahead and win 25-17. Thanh Thuy and her teammates regrouped and narrowly edged out the opposition 25-22 in Set 3.
In a dramatic finish, Set 4 extended to 28-26, with Binh Dien Long An clinching the win after a net touch error by a Kaohsiung player.
With this victory, Binh Dien Long An moved on to the semifinals, where they are scheduled to face Beijing (China).
This marks the first time Binh Dien Long An Club have played in the AVC Champions League.
The league features 12 clubs, divided into four groups of three, with the top two of each group advancing to the next stage.
The two top teams of the league will secure slots in the Club World Championship 2025.
