Vietnamese racer gets off to good start at Asian Talent Cup

VOV.VN - Local racer Nguyen Huu Tri delivered an impressive performance during the first leg of the Idemitsu Asia Talent Cup (IATC) 2025, which is taking place at Chang International Circuit in Thailand.

The first competition day saw Huu Tri put his confidence and talent on display to finish in 14th place and win two valuable points in the rankings. The next day saw Tri enjoy a strong breakthrough as he reduced the racing time from one minute 48.831 seconds to oneminute 48.455 seconds and finished in 13th place.

The Vietnamese racer is expected to record more points ahead in the next races of the season.

Tri is the only racer from Honda Racing Vietnam participating in IATC 2025. He has surpassed nearly 100 young runners to win a ticket to compete in the tournament.

The IATC is the most prestigious motorcycle road racing tournament for the top young talents in Asia and Oceania. The event is designed to be a pathway to Moto3, Moto2, and finally MotoGP.

The race, which had its inaugural season in 2014, is organised by Dorna Sport, which also controls Grand Prix motorcycle racing and the Superbike World Championship.
