Vietnamese players to vie for medals at BWF World Tour Super 500

VOV.VN - Badminton players Nguyen Hai Dang, Le Duc Phat, and Nguyen Thuy Linh will represent Vietnam at the Malaysia Masters, part of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Tour Super 500 series, set to take place from May 20 to 25.

In the qualification round, Hai Dang will go up against host player Tan Jia Jie of Malaysia, while Duc Phat is set to face Julien Carraggi of Belgium.

In the women’s singles, Thuy Linh will take on a formidable opponent, Ratchanok Intanon of Thailand, a former world champion and consistent top contender.

The tournament gathers top players from across the globe, all competing for titles and valuable world ranking points.

The total prize pool stands at US$475,000, with the singles winners earning US$35,625 and the doubles champions receiving US$37,525.
