Vietnamese gymnast nabs gold at world event

Gymnast Le Thanh Tung snatched a gold medal with a perfect landing in the men’s vault finals with a score of 14.733 at the 10th edition of FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha, Qatar on March 26.
This is Tung’s first gold in a world event. The 22-year-old gymnast from Ho Chi Minh City is a gold medal hopeful for upcoming regional competitions, including SEA Games 2017 and Asiad 2018. He bagged two golds for Vietnam at the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore.

Four gymnasts from Vietnam - Le Thanh Tung, Pham Phuoc Hung, Dinh Phuong Thanh and Dang Nam - participated in the gymnastic event, the first major competition of the sport this year.
