The BWF announced on March 28 that the nation’s top female badminton player Nguyen Thuy Linh had leaped up five places to 35th position. This rise can be attributed to her victory at the Ciputra Hanoi-Yonex Sunrise Vietnam International Challenge 2023 when won the tournament.

Linh also ranked second at the Thailand Badminton Challenge after she lost out to Takahashi in the finals on March 12.

Meanwhile, young female player Vu Thi Anh Thu also climbed to 136th from 142nd place in the latest rankings. Elsewhere, other talented player Vu Thi Trang also jumped four places to rank 111th position.
