Vietnamese athletes in Singapore for open track-and-field championships

VOV.VN - Four Vietnamese athletes have arrived in Singapore to compete at the 2025 Singapore Open Track-and-Field Championships, which officially kicked off on April 24.

Among them is Nguyen Hoai Van, the reigning national javelin champion, who also clinched a silver medal at the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) in Cambodia in 2023.

The Vietnamese delegation also includes Le Quoc Hy, who will compete in the men’s 400m hurdles; Nguyen Quoc Thinh in the men’s high jump; and Pham Quynh Giang in the women’s high jump.

Organised annually by the Singapore Athletics Association, the tournament serves as a warm-up for regional athletes ahead of the 33rd SEA Games, set to take place in Thailand from December 9 to 20.
