VOV.VN - Truong Thi Kim Tuyen of Vietnam won a silver medal in the women’s under-46kg category at the 2017 World Taekwondo Championships (June 24-30) ongoing in the Republic of Korea.

In the semi-finals, Tuyen managed to fend off Napaporn Charanawat of Thailand 9-8 in a nail-biting finish. In the closing moments of the match Tuyen’s opponent closed the gap to one point with only 10 seconds remaining.

The Vietnamese fighter managed to hang on for the win and faced Sim Jae-Young from the ROK in the finals, at which Tuyen suffered a 9-18 rout in just three bruising rounds.
