Vietnam wins two golds at weightlifting championship

Le Nguyen Quoc Bao bagged two gold medals at the ongoing International Weightlifting Federation Youth World Championship in Malaysia. 

Bao, the only representative from Vietnam, successfully defended his title in the men’s 50kg category with a lift of 116kg in the clean-and-jerk pool.

Earlier he earned a silver in the snatch event with a lift of 95kg. With a combined 211kg, Bao secured his second gold at the event. 

The championship, which consists of eight weight categories for men and seven for women, will end on October 25.
