Vietnam win 2023 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship finals

VOV.VN - Vietnam defeated Thailand 3-2 in a final game of the 2023 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship in Vinh Phuc province on May 2 evening.

The Vietnamese girls performed poorly and let their Thai opponents take advantage of the hosts’ faults to dominate the game in the first two sets.

Strongly supported by home spectators, the Vietnamese girls produced a spectacular comeback afterwards and overwhelmed their Thai opponents in the last three sets.

The fifth set was quite thrilling as both teams struggled fiercely one point at a time. It’s opposite hitters that scored four out ò of eight decisive points to clinch the victory for Vietnam in this set.

This was the first time Vietnam have won the 2023 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship. They will represent Asia at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s Club World Championship to be held in December 2023.

The 2023 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship took place in Vinh Phuc province from April 25 to May 2.

The tournament attracted nine teams from Iran, Japan, Taiwan (China), Kazakhstan, Thailand, China, Mongolia, Hong Kong (China), and hosts Vietnam.
