Vietnam U15 to face Japanese, RoK sides at international friendly in Jeju
VOV.VN - Vietnam’s youth football will be represented by PVF U15, who are set to compete against a series of Japanese and South Korean opponents at the GROUND.N Stove League 2026 in Jeju, the Republic of Korea (RoK) from January 14 to 22.
The tournament features 10 U15 teams, including PVF (Vietnam); Pohang Steelers U15, Jeju SK FC U15, Suwon FC U15, Gimpo FC U15 and Ilsan A-Ri U15; Oita Trinita U15 and Vicsale Okinawa FC U15; Dalian Longjuanfeng U15; and Chonburi FC U15.
Matches will be played over two 35-minute halves with unlimited substitutions, allowing teams to rotate squads extensively and giving players more opportunities to gain match experience in an international setting. Games will be hosted at Jeju University Stadium, Jocheon Stadium and Hamduk Elementary School Stadium.
According to the schedule, PVF U15 will play five matches, with games held every two days. The Vietnamese side open their campaign at 8 a.m. on January 14 against Ilsan A-Ri at Jocheon Stadium, before facing Oita Trinita on January 16. They will then meet Jeju SK FC on January 18, followed by fixtures against Gimpo FC and Pohang Steelers in their remaining matches.
