Vietnam to take on Afghanistan in friendly match

VOV.VN - Korean head coach Park Hang-seo has announced a squad of 23 players who will represent the nation in a friendly against Afghanistan on June 1 at Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City.

The list includes several outstanding faces who competed in the third round of Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, such as goalkeeper Dang Van Lam and defender Do Duy Manh.

Furthermore, three other players from the U23 team, Hung Dung, Tien Linh, and Hoang Duc, all of whom won gold medals at SEA Games 31, were also named in the team.

Two new faces, including Tran Dinh Khuong and Truong Van Thai Quy, have also been called up for the national team.

According to the schedule, the national team will gather together on May 25 to attend a two-day training camp in Hanoi before moving to Ho Chi Minh City on May 28 to prepare for the friendly match.
