Vietnam to play F4F in Italy

Hoang Anh Gia Lai-Arsenal JMG Academy’s youth team have been invited to take part in Football for Friendship (F4F), an international children’s social project, in Milan, Italy.

Players from 12-14 years old will compete against 31 other teams from May 26-29.

The aim of the project is to promote essential values embodied by football, particularly with the younger generation, such as respect for other cultures and nationalities, equality and a healthy lifestyle through the love of sport.

Players will have a chance to meet “The Emperor” Franz Beckenbauer, ambassador of the project, and watch the UEFA Champions League final there.

It is the first time Vietnam will have a representative at the four-year-old event.

The world’s professional football club will be awarded with the 9 Values Cup for their utmost commitment to the project’s values: friendship, equality, fairness, health, peace, devotion, victory, traditions and honour.
