Vietnam to host AVC Women's Champions League 2025

VOV.VN - The nation is set to host the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Women’s Champions League which is scheduled to be staged from April 20 to April 27, the continental football governing body AVC recently confirmed.

VTV Binh Dien Long An, the winner of the 2024 National Women's Volleyball Championship, will represent the country to compete in the Asian tournament.

This marks the ninth time that the nation has played host to the AVC Women's Champions League.

Vietnamese representative Sport Center 1 won the championship title of the regional tournament after defeating Diamond Food of Thailand 3-2 in the final match played back in 2023.

In 2024, LPB Ninh Binh of Vietnam came second after losing out to NEC Red Rockets of Japan in the final game.

The continental volleyball was first held in 2018, with the champion qualifying for the FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) Challenge Cup.

Furthermore, Vietnam was also recently selected to host the first stage of the Southeast Asian Women's Volleyball League (SEA Women V.League) which will be held in the northern province of Ninh Binh this year.
