Vietnam to face Thailand for gold medal in tennis

VOV.VN - The Vietnamese tennis team successfully beat their Indonesian rivals to enter the final of the men's team event at the ongoing the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.

The semifinals took place at the Modorok Techo National Stadium's Tennis Arena, with local players Hoang Nam and Van Phuong winning against the duo from Indonesia with a score of 2-1 to progress tothe finals where they play with play against Thailand.

This represents the first time that Vietnam has made the finals of the men's team event, with the Vietnamese team having the chance to win the historic gold medal if they beat the defending champion Thailand.

In the women’s team event, Vietnam also brought home a bronze medal after losing out to Thailand in the finals on May 8.
