Vietnam to face Malaysia in Asian Cup 2027 qualifier today
VOV.VN - Vietnam will take on Malaysia at 7 p.m. on March 31 in an Asian Cup 2027 qualifier at Thien Truong Stadium in Ninh Binh province, northern Vietnam.
The match no longer carries technical significance, as coach Kim Sang Sik’s side have already secured qualification for the tournament finals.
However, it remains a match played for pride, expected to be a closely contested encounter between two Southeast Asian teams. Ahead of the match, Kim Sang Sik referred to Vietnam’s 0-4 defeat in the first leg.
“The loss left the team and our supporters disappointed. Following the recent decision, we have gained additional motivation,” he said.
“Today, Vietnam are determined to beat Malaysia. A win in this match will serve as motivation for the players to continue striving against other opponents in upcoming tournaments.
The team will give everything, will not step back, and aim to deliver a strong performance at home,” he added.
