Vietnam to compete in 27 sports at AIMAG 6

VOV.VN - A Vietnamese sporting delegation consisting of more than 300 elite athletes will head to Thailand to participate in 27 events at the Asian Indoor & Martial Art Games (AIMAG6).

Among the 27 sports, the nation has not registered to compete in volleyball.

This year will see AIMAG 6 consist of a total of 38 sports, including swimming, badminton, baseball, 3x3 basketball, BMX cycling, bowling, cheerleading, climbing, fencing, floorball, futsal, indoor hockey, jujitsu, kickboxing, netball, pencak silat, sepak takraw, shooting, skateboarding, volleyball, air sports, teqball, athletics, billiards, chess, dance sports, e-sports, indoor rowing, kabaddi, karate, kurash, mixed martial arts, muay Thai, roller, sambo, taekwondo, weightlifting, and wrestling.

The event represents an ideal platform for Vietnamese athletes to hone their skills and to gain greater experience in preparation for upcoming international tournaments.

AIMAG, held every four years since 2013, was postponed back in 2021 due to COVID-19 pandemic.

After being rescheduled several times, AIMAG 6 will be held from November 16 to November 30 in Chonburi and Bangkok in Thailand.
