Vietnam thrash Indonesia 5-0 in ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship’s second match
VOV.VN - Vietnam continued their good form with victory after defeating Indonesia 5-0 in their second match of the ASEAN Women’s Futsal Championship 2024 held on November 18 at the Philsports Arena in Manila in the Philippines.
In the opening 60 seconds Nguyen Phuong Anh scored the first goal thanks to a pass from captain Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang.
In the fifth minute, Bui Thi Trang continued the side’s positive performance, scoring a further two more goals for Vietnam.
With a structured play, Vietnamese team finished the first half with another goal thanks to Bien Thi Hang.
In the second half, the Indonesian women deployed a power-play tactic to try and reduce the deficit. However, they failed and Thanh Ngan ultimately sealed the emphatic victory with a powerful strike.
With this good result, Vietnam ranked first in the group rankings. The team will now face Myanmar in their next match at 18:00 p.m. on November 19 before playing the host nation the Philippines on November 20.
