VOV.VN - The draw for the 2022 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Asian Cup, which took place on February 17 saw Vietnam placed in Group C alongside Thailand, the Republic of Korea (RoK), and Malaysia.
Moving forward, the tournament will be held in Uzbekistan from June 1 to June 19.
The Republic of Korea go into the competition as current champions and are widely considered to be the strongest side in the group.
Meanwhile, Thailand and Malaysia represent familiar rivals of the national team led by head coach Park Hang-seo.
Vietnam were the runners-up at AFC U23 tournament back in 2018.
However, in the 2020 edition they were knocked out in the group stage.
