Le Ngoc Nhu Y, who claimed a gold medal at the 2025 Women’s World Petanque Championship on October 12, is among the participants. Her teammates Trinh Thi Kim Thanh and Nguyen Van Toan, both from Ho Chi Minh City, are also considered standout players in the upcoming Asian event.
Additionally, Kim Thi Thu Thao, gold medalist at the 2024 Asian Petanque Championships, will compete in this year’s tournament.
The petanque event at SEA Games 33 has not yet been officially confirmed. Several countries, including Vietnam, are awaiting an announcement from the host, Thailand. In preliminary registrations, Vietnam had included petanque among its SEA Games 33 sports.
