Vietnam secures berth to 2019 AFC Asian Cup
(VOV) - A loss by Taiwan (China) to Iraq, 0-2, in the qualifying round of group F at the 2018 FIFA World Cup/2019 AFC Asian Cup joint-qualifiers handed Vietnam a berth in the second qualifying round of the 2019 AFC Asian Cup.
Even so, the Vietnam team missed the opportunity to enter the second qualifying round of the 2018 World Cup.
At present, Thailand leads group F with 13 points after five matches, followed by Iraq and Vietnam. The Vietnam team next faces Iraq on March 29.
