Vietnam play off against Lebanon for place in Futsal World Cup finals
VOV.VN - Vietnam are due to take on Lebanon in a play-off match to decide on a ticket to the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2021 finals, announced the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on April 27.
In the other play-off fixture, Thailand will clash against Iraq.
The two-legged tie is scheduled to take place on May 20 and May 25, and a specific venue will be chosen by the AFC.
The AFC confirmed on April 20 that Iran, Japan, and Uzbekistan would directly qualify for the finals of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2021.
Meanwhile, Thailand, Iraq, Lebanon, and Vietnam would compete in a play-off round as they battle to earn a place in the upcoming global competition.
The final round of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2021 is set to take place between September 12 and October 3 in Lithuania.
Vietnamese men are currently playing in the National Futsal HDBank Championship 2021. They will gather for a training camp after the HDBank Champs ends.
