Vietnam placed in pot 3 of Women's World Cup
VOV.VN - Vietnam have been placed in pot 3 in the group stage of Women's World Cup, according to FIFA world ranking.
The team is arranged in the same pots with Denmark, Switzerland, Ireland, Colombia, Argentina, Costa Rica, and Jamaica.
Vietnamese female players may face off against teams in Pot 2 that contain Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, Italy, and Norway, Japan and those in Pot 1 that consists of New Zealand, the US, Sweden, Germany, the UK, France, and Spain.
From the pots, FIFA will host draw for the group stage on October 22 in New Zealand, dividing 32 teams into eight groups of four, with each group having four teams from four different pots.
The 2023 Women's World Cup will take place from July 20 to August 30. The group stage is played in a round-robin format and the top two teams of each group will advance to the round of 16.
