Vietnam picks up seven gold medals at Singapore Archery Open 2022
VOV.VN - Local archers bagged a total of seven gold medals to top the medal charts at the Singapore Archery Open 2022, a regional event which recently concluded at Bukit Gombak Stadium in Singapore.
Ngoc Anh, Hong Gam, and Hai Chau made up the compound women’s team.
Elsewhere, their teammates Van Day, Minh Quy, and Trung Hieu ranked first among the compound men’s teams.
The Vietnamese archers also secured golds in the recurve women’s team and recurve men’s team.
The championship titles in the compound men, recurve women, and recurve men categories went to Nguyen Minh Quy, Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhi, and Nguyen Manh Dat, respectively.
The Singapore Archery Open 2022 organised by the Archery Association of Singapore was held from September 9 to September 11, with the nation sending 12 archers to compete in the tournament.
This therefore marks the first international tournament which local archers have taken part in following the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games which was hosted by Vietnam back in May.
