Vietnam lose to Australia at AFC U19 event

Vietnam were ousted from the AFC U19 Women’s Football Championship in Nanjing, China, after losing to Australia 2-5 in the third match of Group B’s qualifying round on October 22.

Vietnam’s goals were scored by Tuyet Ngan and Ha Thi Nhai in the 49th and 82nd minute, respectively.

Earlier, Vietnam lost to Japan 0-8 and the Republic of Korea (ROK) 0-5.

In another match played on October 22, Japan beat the ROK 2-0.

The event saw four teams entering the semi-finals, namely Japan and Australia (Group B), the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and hosts China (Group A).
