Vietnam likely to send 1,000-strong sport delegation to SEA Games 33

VOV.VN - Vietnam is set to dispatch a 1,000-member delegation, including athletes, coaches, doctors, and other experts, to the 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 33) due to take place in Thailand later this year.

This information was confirmed by the Executive Board of Vietnam Olympic Committee during its working session on June 4.

In his remarks, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung, chairman of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, said that Vietnam aims to finish among the top three in the final medal standings.

The athletes will also strive to achieve their best results at the coming Asian Games (ASIAD) and Olympic Games.

SEA Games 33 will be held in Thailand from December 9 to 20, featuring competition across 54 sports.
